EXPERIENCE: Boracay and #AtiAtihan2014 Experience Part 2 of 2!

Dance to Ati Atihan Beat! - #SepAnx

After spending a night partying and enjoying the sand and the sunset of Boracay, we woke up early the following day to head to Kalibo for the Ati Atihan Festival.

non stop party ahead of us!

From Boracay, we took a tricycle going to Boracay port. Then 20 to 30 minutes boat ride to Caticlan Jetty Port. From Caticlan, we took the van going to Kalibo. The front office associate from Boracay Cottage advised us to take the van instead via bus to Kalibo as it's safer and faster. It's a 1 to 2 hours ride. After alighting from the van, we contacted the rest of the group. We found them at Snowland, an old eatery that serves breakfast, lunch, pastries and desserts. No pictures of food. Define HUNGRY! :))

Since we still have our traveling bags with us, we decided to left our bags in a baggage counter of a supermarket just across Snowland. Luckily, they allow us to left it there. Around 1 pm, we headed to the plaza to watch the parade. Endless lines of people, party beat and free drinks.

After 5 to 6 hours of partying on the street, we decided to go to Marma's house, our host at Kalibo. The team decided to have  a cook off challenge that night. Menu was Bicol Express, Chicken Adobo, Vegetable Curry, Tomatoes and Egg and Grilled Talaba. I was really amazed by stories coming from travelers from different parts of the globe.

We left Marma's house quite early for our 2pm flight. Cris, Yohji, James, Monica and I decided to head to the market to buy some 'pasalubong'. After that, we part ways with Monica as her flight was in Iloilo airport. We headed straight to Kalibo International Airport. After checking in, we  grabbed some breakfast on a restaurant just across the airport.
