The Theatre at Solaire Resort and Casino Opening Night! #TheTheatre #SolaireResort

Opening of The Theatre at Solaire Resort and Casino happened last November 26, 2014, Wednesday in ParaƱaque. It was the grandest event I've ever attended for the year 2014 as people from politics, entertainment, business and a lot more were present. To name a few, I saw Juana Change, Annabelle Rama, Eddie Guttierez, German Moreno, Cory Quirino and Senator Panfilo Lacson. A lot of theater enthusiast were also present in this event.

The production was also grand as The Theatre is one of kind venue which can accommodate almost all shows ranging from concerts, stage plays and musicals, pageants and a lot more. The Theatre promises to be one of the leading entertainment venue in the Philippines and in Asia as it has The Constellation system  which was described by Mr. Audie Gemora, Solaire's entertainment director, as a network of microphones that have been implanted all around the Solaire Theatre, so that it picks up every single sound which can be controlled by a computer. The overall resonance of the theater becomes more versatile. I myself was amazed when Gerard Salonga showed us the difference of listening while the system is on and off. The whole experience was so surreal. It's just like you're listening with headphones on. That's how awesome The Constellation system was.

Those who played a big role behind the theatre were also introduced namely, Ed Concepcion (Theater Manager), Shax Siasoco (Venue Technical Director) and Sandy Hontiveros (Talent Center Manager).

Mitch Valdez, an OPM icon, introduced the next act on screen. Morissette, Christian Bautista and Yeng Constantino all had their solo spots. They also performed the song "Sana'y Wala ng Wakas" altogether.

Martin Nievera came out to sing his solo spot with the song "Kahit Isang Saglit." He then sang a little bit of "Music of the Night" (from "Phantom of the Opera") to introduce the final performer of the night.

Lea Salonga was the final performer of the opening show of The Theater at Solaire in ParaƱaque. Her medley included "Memory" from "Cats," which she performed in the Manila run of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in 2010. Salonga also delighted the audience on Wednesday with her rendition of "For Good" from "Wicked," accompanied by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, which was led by her brother, Gerard.

She went on to sing "Brighter Than The Sun" by Colbie Caillat, before being joined on stage by the other performers of the night, including Isay Alvarez, Audie Gemora, Martin Nievera, Yeng Constantino, Christian Bautista, Karylle, Sam Concepcion, Morissette Amon, Regine Tolentino, Aicelle Santos, and Lisa Macuja-Elizalde.

It was really a great night of entertainment! I can't wait for my next event at The Theatre! :) This post would not be possible if only with Mr. Toots Tolentino's invitation. Thank you sir!
