#FoodPH: Rye Tasting Room - a place for alcoholic exploration!

In my previous blog post, I visited iL Ponticello, an Italian Restaurant, which is located in Salcedo Village, Makati City. iL Ponticello has a drink buddy restaurant called Rye Tasting Room which offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages ranging from whisky, vodka, rum, tequila, gin, wine, name it! I call it a restaurant within a restaurant.

I love the semi rustic look and vibe. 

Rye Tasting Room is generous enough to serve us their Seared Spiced Tuna Loin which is a lightly seared spice crusted tuna oil with wasabi aioli. I am not a fan of Tuna but this one is an exception. Perfect to pair with a glass of whiskey!

Porchetta Panino is made with Panini bread and iL Ponticello's signature Porchetta alla Romana. It is a Roman-style whole pork belly, seasoned with fennel and garlic for a minimum of 6 hours. It has caramelized onion, roasted garlic aioli and salsa verde. It is served with ale-battered french fries. The crunch in every bite of the pork skin sounded like angels singing from heaven.

Rye Tasting Room also served Makers Edition 4 Cheese Wagyu Burger which is made up of 1/3 lbs. of Wagyu Beef Patty smothered in homemade recipe cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato, buttery brioche bun with ale-battered french fries. I love the patty not being so beefy. It has the right combination of saltiness and I love hove sinful it is with all the cheese and everything in between.

Best way to end this gastronomic feast? Finish it with a dessert! Tried Butter Maple Bourbon Milk Shake and Tennessee Chocolate Marble "French Toast". Milk Shake is made out of extra thick homemade butter maple bourbon and the marble is pan-fried in butter until crisp golden brown. The butter maple bourbon milk shake is for those who are too adventurous! :)
